Goaltender Andrew Engelage Returns to Utah

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that goaltender Andrew Engelage has signed with the team for a third-straight season.

Engelage returns after spending training camp with the AHL's Toronto Marlies where he has logged games two out of the last three years. With the Grizzlies, Engelage is 44-37-8 with a 2.70 goals-against-average and a .912 save percentage.

The 23-year-old ranks third all-time in Grizzlies wins (44), games played (91) and saves (2478). He ranks fourth all-time in minutes played (4479:01) and is tied for third with five shutouts.

He has been named the ECHL's Goaltender of the Week, four total times with Utah and two times each in the last two years.

In addition, the Grizzlies have also announced that defenseman Drew MacKenzie has joined the team from the AHL's Abbotsford Heat. MacKenzie, a rookie out of the University of Vermont, had seven goals and 16 assists for 23 points in 32 games last year during his final season of college. He was a 2007 draft pick of the Buffalo Sabres.

The Grizzlies open the regular season Friday in Boise with their home opener being Saturday at 7 p.m. against the Steelheads. Saturday is a post-game with the team. Skate rental is $2.
