
Glasnow Honored with Second Pitcher of the Week Award

Bradenton, Fla. - Marauders starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow has been named the Florida State League Pitcher of the Week for the period August 11-August 17. Glasnow started two games, earning the win in both, while allowing just one run over 13 1/3 innings. This is the second consecutive week that Glasnow has received the award.
On Tuesday, August 12 Glasnow pitched 6 1/3 innings against the Jupiter Hammerheads. He allowed one run on four hits and struck out 10. It was his fifth start with 10 or more strikeouts and his second in a row.
On Sunday, August 17 Glasnow matched the longest start of his career while limiting the St. Lucie Mets to two hits and no runs over seven innings. He struck out eight Mets while walking one.
With the wins, Glasnow is now 11-5 with a league-leading ERA of 1.43. He has logged 113 1/3 innings while striking out 140 batters, a mark that stands second in the league. Opponents are batting just .167 with one home run against him. Glasnow's strikeout total is the most ever by a Marauders pitcher in a single season and stands as the second highest career total for the franchise.
Glasnow is 20 years old and resides in Newhall, CA. He is in his third season of professional baseball.
