Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp News Release

MOBILE, AL - Todd Glaesmann was the hero for the Mobile BayBears (1-1) as his walk-off RBI single scored Tom Belza to life his team to a 4-3 win in 11 innings over the Jacksonville Suns (1-1) in game two of the South Division Championship Series on Friday from Hank Aaron Stadium. The series is now evened up at 1-1.

RJ Hively (W, 1-0) earned the victory for Mobile after navigating out of trouble in the top of the 11th, holding the Suns without a run or a hit despite a pair of walks, a hit batsmen and a throwing error.

Jon Link left in line for the win but took a no-decision after allowing a pair of runs (both earned) on three hits with a walk and eight strikeouts in six innings of work. The right-hander retired the final 14 batters he'd face in his start.

Collin Cargill allowed a lone hit and struck out a batter in his 0.2 innings of relief.

Frankie Reed got the only batter he faced to fly out to end the bottom of the seventh inning.

Nick Wittgren (BS, 1) blew the save after surrendering one run (earned) on three hits with one strikeout in his two-inning relief outing.

James Nygren (L, 0-1) took the loss for Jacksonville by giving up the winning run (earned) on two hits with a strikeout in 1.1 innings of work.

The Suns hopped on the scoreboard first on Friday, scoring three times in the top of the first inning. After back-to-back one-out singles from Austin Barnes and J.T. Realmuto, Viosergy Rosa (HR, 1) drilled a three-run home run to right field to give Jacksonville a 3-0 lead after one half-inning of play.

Mobile got on the board in the bottom of the second, scoring twice in the frame. An Argenis Diaz RBI groundout and an Evan Marzilli RBI single cut it to a 3-2 Suns lead after two innings.

That 3-2 score held until the bottom of the eighth inning when the BayBears plated a run to even things up. Ryan Court came down to score on Tom Belza's game-tying RBI double, knotting the ballgame up at 3-3.

The game went all the way into the 11th inning until Mobile walked off as 4-3 winners thanks to pinch-hitter Todd Glaesmann's RBI single that scored Tom Belza to even the South Division Championship Series at 1-1.

The Suns and BayBears will be back at it on Saturday for game three of the South Division Championship Series, with first pitch set for 7:05 p.m. ET from Bragan Field. The Suns are yet to announcer their starter while the BayBears are set to start right-hander Aaron Blair (4-1, 1.94).
