Las Vegas, NV November 20, 2006 - Seasons Greetings from the Las Vegas Gladiators. In a joint effort to bring Holiday Happiness to the needy children of Southern Nevada the Gladiators organization will actively assist in the annual KLUC 98.5 FM Chet Buchannan and the Morning Zoo Toy Drive. "This is an excellent way to give back to the community and gear up for a new season and a new attitude! We are asking all season ticket holders, fans, sponsors, and concerned citizens to purchase toys to fill the Budget Truck Road Warrior or give any donations to the cause, so we can take as many toys to Chet, Spence, Lauren, and the gang during the toy drive", says Community Relations Director Karmen La'Shaun Miller.
The Gladiators organization is also looking for volunteers to assist in loading several semi-trucks with the donated toys at the end of the toy drive campaign along with KLUC staffers. All participants with the Gladiators will get special acknowledgement from Chet and the Zoo over the air.
Toy Drive begins Thursday, November 30 beginning at 6:00AM and runs through Monday, December 11 at 10:00 AM BUT THE GLADIATORS ARE GETTING STARTED EARLY! WE WANT TO SHOW THE PEOPLE OF LAS VEGAS HOW TO GET IT DONE. Chet and his colleagues will be living on 25 foot scaffolding In front of Comp USA on West Sahara just East of Valley View and the Gladiators organization is going to help with donations, personal appearances by Head Coach Danton Barto and a special performance by the Las Vegas Gladiators Goddesses. Look for donation boxes with the team logo at area businesses or drop by the Gladiators Front office on 1580 E Desert Inn Road, First Floor to drop of toys or donations.
