PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Soul will be combining efforts with Education First Inc., on Tuesday, November 21 from noon to 3:00 p.m. to package and distribute Thanksgiving dinner to an excess of 65 families from Delaware County at The Devereux Foundation located at 1819 John F. Kennedy Boulevard.
Soul head coach Bret Munsey, in addition to Soul players and dance team members, will work to provide complete Thanksgiving dinner packages for low-income families among other negative influences such as crime, gangs, drug addicted parents/guardians and poor welfare in Lancaster City/County, Philadelphia, Chester and the Delaware area. Packages will be distributed at The Devereux Foundation on 1819 John F. Kennedy Blvd. Collectively, the Soul and Education First Inc. will spread hope and joy to Delaware County families this holiday season.
"Reaching out in the community is something we all enjoy doing, and we look forward to helping out in any way possible," said General Manager Rich Lisk. "With so many families in need around the holidays, we look forward to making Thanksgiving a little easier for those in need."
Education First Inc. is a tax-exempt not-for-profit organization that provides the Lancaster/City and Philadelphia, Pa community with a complete youth sports and education program. Education First Inc. provides middle, Jr, high and high school student's positive learning and team experiences through sports and education along with the opportunity to create life-long memories.
