Gladiators to Host Media Day, First Home Game on Saturday

Albuquerque, N.M. - The Duke City Gladiators are finalizing preparations before the kick-off of the 2016 season this Saturday March 5th at 2:00 PM. Tingley Coliseum will again be alive and ring with excited fans cheering on their Gladiators in action. The Gladiators will host a media day this week to showcase the team's progress leading up to the 1st game. All media and public are welcome to attend the practice.

With just 5 days until the Duke City Gladiators kick off the 2016 season, the excitement is building in the Duke City. Saturday's game at Tingley Coliseum will be the Gladiators' preseason/exhibition matchup against the Texas Stealth. This matchup set to start at 2:00 PM will be utilized to tidy things up and fix anything that needs to be addressed. The players have been in camp for the last couple of weeks and in regards to the preparations for this season Head Coach Dominic Bramante said, "The last couple of weeks of camp have been brutal for our players. With that being said they are gelling and becoming cohesive which will result in a successful season."

The Gladiators will continue with camp throughout the week until Friday and in the middle of it an open practice Media Day is scheduled for this Wednesday March 2nd at 2:00 PM. This Media Day will showcase the players working out and well as what fans can expect to see this season. All media will be able to interview key players and coaches on the upcoming 2016 season.

Fans in the Albuquerque area will be able to see and hear this year's games on radio, TV and online. For the radio broadcast, fans can tune in to 95.9 FM, 107.5 FM and AM 1600. For television, Comcast Cable channel 26 will broadcast the home games. And fans around the world will be able to watch all the games streamed live on the Duke City Gladiators website. There will be scheduled watch parties around town.

Media Day workout will take place on Wednesday March 2nd, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Tingley Coliseum (300 San Pedro Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108). All media outlets and public are invited to attend.

The Gladiators play their first home game in an exhibition matchup between the Texas Stealth this Saturday March 5th, 2016 with kick-off at 2:05 PM. Doors will open at 12:30 PM.
