Gladiators Sign Marietta Native Jones

The Gwinnett Gladiators have signed Marietta, Georgia, native Doug Jones for the 2012-13 season.

Jones earned four points (three goals, one assist) in five games with Gwinnett last season. He joined Gwinnett after his senior season at Dartmouth College.

The 6-foot, 205-pound forward earned 25 points (11 goals, 14 assists) in 31 games with the Big Green last year. Jones tallied 107 points (29 goals, 78 assists) in 127 career collegiate games.

In his senior season at Dartmouth, Jones served as an assistant captain for the Big Green. His 25 points shared first in scoring with Dartmouth and he was named team MVP as he earned the Phelan Award.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
