Gladiators Land AFL Veteran WR Thabiti Davis

LAS VEGAS, February 9, 2007- Head Coach Danton Barto announced today that four-year AFL Veteran Wide Receiver Thabiti Davis has signed with the Las Vegas Gladiators. Per club policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Davis (6"3, 215) has spent the last four years in the Arena Football League with the Orlando Predators, New Orleans VooDoo, Detroit Fury and most recently, the Columbus Destroyers. Last season for Columbus he caught 46 receptions for 586 yards and 10 touchdowns. He had two interceptions from the "Jack" linebacker position, one of which was returned for a touchdown. In 2005, with the New Orleans VooDoo, he was their second leading receiver with 113 receptions for 995 yards and 19 touchdowns.

"Davis is a talented athlete, who has a lot of AFL experience" said Head Coach Danton Barto. "We are excited to have him on our team. He is going to be a strong addition to the roster".

Gladiators are currently in training camp and practices are open to the public. Practices are held outside the Orleans Arena. The first practice begins at 9:30-11:30 and the second practice goes from 2:45-4:45pm.

The Gladiators will kickoff their 5th season on the road March 4th against the Austin Wranglers at 1pm. Season tickets for the 2007 Las Vegas Gladiators home schedule are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the Las Vegas Gladiators office at 702-731-4977.
