ORLANDO, Fla. (February 9, 2007) - Charles Lee, a former standout wide receiver with the University of Central Florida who has extensive NFL experience, has signed a one-year deal with the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League.

Lee, 6-3, 215-lb., is scheduled to join the team on Saturday for practice. "Charles is a big physical receiver who should be a force inside the red zone," Predators head coach Jay Gruden said. "Hopefully he bring the same things to the table that Cory Fleming did for us a few years ago."

A former seventh round pick of the Green Bay Packers (242nd overall), Lee logged six NFL seasons with three different organizations. In 44 career games, he had 72 receptions for 957 yards and three touchdowns. His top season came in 2003 with the Tampa Bay Bucs, when he posted career-highs for starts (5), receptions (33), yards (432) and touchdowns (2). Those totals included a career-high of 91 yards on just three receptions against Houston (12/14). In addition to Green Bay and Tampa Bay, Lee most-recently played for the Arizona Cardinals in 2005.

Lee played three seasons for UCF, grabbing 162 passes for 2,249 yards and 14 touchdowns. He holds the distinction of catching at least one pass in all 33 games he played in and capped off his senior season with 87 receptions for 1,133 yards and five touchdowns. His 7.9 receptions per game that year was the sixth highest total in the nation.
