Alaska Aces News Release
ANCHORAGE, Alaska â The Alaska Aces will hold their first ever blood drive Friday, September 17th from Noon until 6:00 p.m. at the Alaska Aces offices, located at 724 E.15th Ave. (corner of Gambell & 15th). The event is open to the public.
The Aces, in partnership with The Blood Bank of Alaska, 100.5 The Fox, Subway, Xpress Lube and Coke, are sponsoring "Give Blood, Play Hockey." Each year, more than four million Americans need blood transfusions and by the age of 72, nearly 95 percent of the population will need blood or a blood product. Just one blood donation can help as many as three hospital patients and The Blood Bank of Alaska needs 2,200 donations monthly to serve Alaska's hospitals.
This Friday, every blood donor will receive coupons good for a free ticket to each of the Aces pre-season games on October 13th and 14th vs. Greenville as well as discounts from Xpress Lube and Subway. 100.5 The Fox will be broadcasting live from the Aces office from noon until 2:00 p.m. Coke will be providing refreshments for all blood donors. Please contact Wendy Perrell at the Blood Bank at 222-5633 to make a donation appointment. Appointments will be taken before walk-ups.
For all season ticket information, including ticket information for pre-season games, please call 258-ACES.
