Vancouver Giants News Release
After suffering back-to-back losses on home ice this long weekend, the Vancouver Giants are now preparing for their first three-games-in-three-nights weekend.
Last Friday, the Giants dropped a 5-4 loss in overtime to the visiting Chilliwack Bruins. Mike Reich had two goals and an assist in a losing cause as the Giants out-shot the Bruins 36-15.
On Thanksgiving Monday, Vancouver fell 4-2 at home to the Kelowna Rockets. Michal Repik and Mike Piluso scored for the Giants who wound up suffering their first regulation loss of the season.
Now with a record of 4-1-1-1, the Giants get set to play three games this weekend. Friday October 12, the Giants host the Calgary Hitmen (7:30pm). The next night, the Giants will entertain the Tri-City Americans (7:00pm). On Sunday, the Giants round out the weekend by playing the Chilliwack Bruins at Prospera Centre (5:00pm).
