Vancouver Giants News Release
Langley, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants, in partnership with the Western Hockey League, are thrilled to announce the details for their RE/MAX Presents: Nickelodeon Night for Children's Miracle Network on February 24, 2024 against the Kamloops Blazers.
RE/MAX Presents: Nickelodeon Nights for Children's Miracle Network debuted during the 2022-23 WHL Regular Season - a charitable initiative driven by RE/MAX in partnership with Paramount Global, the parent company of global kids and family brand Nickelodeon.
The 2022-23 edition of RE/MAX Presents: Nickelodeon Nights for Children's Miracle Network saw nearly $160,000 raised in support of Children's Hospital Foundations across Western Canada, which included money raised from the Giants Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Night on Feb. 5.
For their game against the Blazers on Feb. 24, the Giants will be sporting a SpongeBob SquarePants theme.
"RE/MAX is thrilled to once again collaborate with the WHL this season, in this initiative geared toward kids, in support of kids," says Christopher Alexander, President of RE/MAX Canada. "The money raised will help fund the life-saving work of Children's Miracle Network in many of the communities that RE/MAX serves and calls 'home.'"
The Giants' SpongeBob Squarepants Night will include special activations, where fans will have an opportunity to win great prizes, both in-game and online. Fans will also have a chance to win the unique themed jerseys through a jersey raffle, with net proceeds going to BC Children's Hospital. Details on how the raffle will work will be released at a later date.
"We're looking forward to once again partnering with RE/MAX for this unique game night, which was a big hit last year," Giants VP of Operations Peter Toigo said. "The Children's Miracle Network does amazing work and we're glad our game night can help raise critical funds right here at home for BC Children's Hospital."
The Children's Miracle Network strives to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment, and research. Its various fundraising partners and programs support the mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
RE/MAX has partnered with the Children's Miracle Network for 30 years.
