September 12, 2014 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Keystone Ice Miners News Release
CONNELLSVILLE, PA - Ice Miners owner Maribeth Hayes announced today that Head Coach/General Manager Michael Gershon has been promoted to President. In addition, Eric Dolfi has been added to the staff as Director of Business Operations.
"Working alongside Michael over the years, he truly cares about our players as people first," said Hayes. "It's about developing the guys as people first, and then as hockey players. It's a value that we share."
Gershon has been the head coach and general manager since October of 2012 and will now oversee the business operations of the organization, with help from Dolfi.
"We've been looking for somebody local that knows the area, knows businesses, and can help spread our marketing potential and build our awareness," said Gershon. "Eric's knowledge of the region is invaluable for us."
In addition to becoming Director of Business Operations, Dolfi is a billet parent and President of the Ice Miners Booster Club.
The Ice Miners open their regular season this Saturday, September 13th against the rival Johnstown Tomahawks at 7:30 PM. Tickets can be purchased at the door before tomorrow's game. Gates will be open at 6:30 with a tailgate party outside the Ice Mine starting at 5.
