Georgia Swarm News Release
The National Lacrosse League's (NLL) Georgia Swarm today announced that it has re-signed two-time NLL Transition Player of the Year Jordan MacIntosh to a three-year contract.
MacIntosh, 26, has been one of the NLL's most versatile players during his four-year career with the Swarm from 2012-15. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound righty routinely ranks amongst the league leaders in loose balls, faceoff wins, forced turnovers as well as in scoring categories amongst transition players. In 2014, MacIntosh posted a career-high 61 points (23G, 38A), 204 loose balls and 25 forced turnovers en route to being named the NLL's Transition Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.
"Jordan has been one of the most impactful Swarm players in the seven years that we have owned the team," Swarm Owner and General Manager John Arlotta said. "He is recognized around the league as one of the premiere transition players in the NLL. As much as we have enjoyed watching his individual performances over the years, it has been even more exciting to see his leadership skills evolve to a point that he has become a recognized leader both on and off the field. We're excited to have his talent, leadership, and character be part of the Swarm organization for at least the next three years."
In his career, the Oakville, Ontario native has registered 214 points (93G, 121A), 725 loose balls, 77 forced turnovers and 754 faceoff wins in 67 career games. The Swarm selected MacIntosh with the No. 4 overall pick in the first-round of the 2011 NLL Draft after a stellar career at R.I.T. In the offseason, MacIntosh has spent the past two seasons playing for Team Canada and has collected two gold medals in both indoor and field lacrosse.
