Duluth, GA- The Georgia Swarm improved to 7-1 on the season with a 15-9 victory over the Rochester Knighthawks (2-6) on Sunday, Feb. 19 at Harrah's Cherokee Field at Infinite Energy Arena during Native American Heritage Night. Lyle Thompson, in addition to reclaiming the top of the NLL points leaderboard, set a single-game career-high in goals with six and tied his single-game points-high with 10 after being held pointless in the entire first quarter. The second-year forward currently has a league-high 59 points (25G, 34A) through eight games. Thompson had a total of 60 points last season as a rookie in 18 games.

Thompson's NLL stat rankings are as follows:

- 59 Points (1st)

- 25 Goals (Tied for 1st)

- 34 Assists (3rd)

- .240 Shooting Percentage (1st among players with at least 70 shots)

- 3 Shorthand Goals (1st)

- 60 loose balls and 20 faceoff wins (1st among players ranked in the Top 25 in scoring)

Mike Poulin allowed only two goals between the second and fourth quarters, finishing the night with a 9.00 GAA and a .833 SV%.

"Getting the win in Toronto was really big," head coach Ed Comeau said. "On the road against a really good team, we knew Rochester was going to come in here and play pretty desperate. We knew tonight was equally important. If we weren't successful tonight, it ruined what we did the other night. So we tried to play with a lot of intensity."

Still undefeated at home (4-0) and first in the NLL, Georgia takes a well-deserved bye week before visiting the Calgary Roughnecks on Saturday, Mar. 4. Faceoff is set for 9:00 p.m. ET.
