Georgia Force News Release
FLOWERY BRANCH, GA - The Georgia Force today signed WR Chris Baker.
Baker, 6-4, 215 pounds, enters his first season in the AFL after spending time with the San Francisco 49ers. He was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the 49ers on May 4, 2006, but was released prior to the start of the season. Baker is a product of Rutgers University, where he posted 43 career receptions while rotating between wide receiver and quarterback. As a senior quarterback at Marist (Bayonne, NJ) High School, he threw for over 1,400 yards with 10 touchdowns and added 920 rushing yards with seven touchdowns on the ground.
"With training camp beginning in less than a month, we are working on finalizing our roster and we believe Baker will be a great addition," stated Director of Football Operations Jim Kubiak. "He is a tall, physical receiver who runs precise routes and shows great awareness for the ball when it is in the air. We believe he is a great addition to our football team and we look forward to watching him compete in training camp."
Force season tickets are currently on sale, starting at $9 a game. For ticket information, please contact the Force ticket sales office at 1-888-55-FORCE.
