WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY - Joe Genord and Yoel Romero blasted monster home runs to deliver an 8-5 victory Wednesday night for the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Short Season Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, over the Hudson Valley Renegades to win the series at Dutchess Stadium.

BIG MOMENTS

Joe Genord cracked a two-out, two-strike, tie-breaking three-run homer in the ninth to give Brooklyn an 8-5 lead. Sam Haggerty's run-scoring single tied the game earlier in the inning.

After losing a 4-0 lead, Hudson Valley regained the lead in the bottom of the eighth on a double steal to take a 5-4 advantage.

Yoel Romero smashed a game-tying two-run homer into deep left field in the seventh to eliminate a 4-2 deficit.
