Flint Generals News Release
FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals added two losses to their season of struggles. Friday night Dayton was in town and after a tough first period that included three (3) Gems goals, the Generals made a change in net replacing JF Labbe with rookie Rob Nolan. But Nolan's hard work came up short as the Gens were unable to put pucks in the net, and the Gems left Perani with a 4-1 victory.
Sunday the team was in Dayton for game two of the weekend against the Gems. The effort from the Generals was very promising however Ryan Mior was again too much to overcome, and the Gens fell 3-1, dropping a season high sixth game in a row. With his assist on John Mori's goal Sunday, John Ronan picked up career assist number 80.
The action at Perani picks back up Wednesday when Muskegon comes to town. The Generals invite fans to come down for $1 Draft Night and Coats for Kids. So bring your family, friends and old or new coats to donate and enjoy some holiday season hockey. This game will be Craig Cescon's 80th career game, while Nate Ward continues to search for career goal number 50.
Thursday the Generals hit Fort Wayne for a Thanksgiving rendezvous with the Komets, while Friday brings meeting number six with Dayton. The Gems have won each of the prior contests.
Then on Sunday, the Generals wrap up the month of November as they host Muskegon for a 4:00 puck drop.
Tuesday December 1st players will be lending a helping hand to the Salvation Army as bell ringers inside Genesee Valley Mall outside the Sears and Macy's entrances from 1-5pm.
Friday Dec. 4th the Gens invite everyone to come down to Perani early for some Pre-Holiday Shopping.
