Flint Generals News Release
FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the United Hockey League announce that four players have been released from the hockey club to meet current roster requirements for the beginning of the 2004-2005 campaign. The Generals have released forwards Chris Ferguson and Joel Maas, defenseman Petr Macek and goaltender Rob Person effective immediately.
"This is the roughest part about being a head coach", said Vice President & Head Coach, Robbie S. Nichols. "These four players worked hard for me in training camp and have the talent to play. Unfortunately, I don't have a spot for them on my roster. It is extremely difficult to let them go. I would like to thank them giving everything they had for the Flint Generals. Our entire organization wishes them well in their future endeavors."
The Flint Generals open regular season play on Friday, October 15, 2004 against the Muskegon Fury at 7:35 p.m. Tickets for any and all regular season games are on sale for $13.00, $11.00 and $9.00 at any TicketMaster location.
