
Generals ready to announce teams new name

Lincoln's newest professional basketball franchise is planning a formal announcement on Wednesday, August 31 at 12:00 p.m. The team, formarly the Lincoln Generals of the All American Professional Basketball League, is excited to announce the unveiling of their new team name, schedule, staff and owners group. This comes of the heals of the demise of the team's affiliation with the AAPBL. Lincoln will join the American Basketball Association and is slated to open the season November 18 at 7:00 p.m. They will play a 36 game scehdule including 18 home games to be played at Pershing Center. Following week will be the coaching press conference to announce the complete coaching staff and the introduction of the new logo.
