ABA Birmingham Magicians name Director of Basketball Operations

Birmingham, AL. The ABA Birmingham Magicians professional basketball team that begins play in November has selected David Sayers as Director of Basketball Operations. "I have worked with David for the past year and he has shown the kind of dedication, commitment, experience and knowledge that will make him a great DBO," said Reggie McDaniel, team owner.

David William Sayers, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, moved to Birmingham in 2004 to further his education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the United States Sports Academy, Daphne, Alabama. David has over 16 years experience and involvement in professional/amateur sports management and team operations at the local, regional, national and international levels. An avid supporter of professional and collegiate basketball programs across the country, David is passionate in his commitment to the Magicians organization and to the Birmingham community to help showcase the "Magic" of Alabama basketball. McDaniel added, "The Magicians will also be announcing other key positions in the coming days including its first head coach."
