Generals host fourth annual golf outing

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the United Hockey League announce their fourth annual Training Camp Open will be Sunday, October 1 at Copper Ridge Golf Course.

Registration will begin at 11:00am for the noon shotgun start at Copper Ridge Golf Course. Each foursome that registers will have a member of the Flint Generals in their group. The entry fee for an individual is $65 and will entitle the golfer to 18 holes of golf with a cart. There will be lunch and beverages on the course and a dinner catered at the course by bd's Mongolian BBQ.

Plaques will be awarded to the top three groups for lowest score. There will also be awards for longest drive and closest to the pin on select holes and after the tournament there will be an auction, raffle and door prizes.

If an individual or company would like to sign up in advance for a foursome or a hole sponsorship, contact the Flint Generals office for information. You can also contact the Generals for a prize donation or to purchase a ticket for the dinner only.

The Generals open their 2006-07 season against the Port Huron Flags on Friday, October 13, at Perani Arena. Season tickets are on sale now through TicketMaster or by calling the Perani Arena & Event Center at (810) 744-0580. All kids age 12 and under receive free season tickets with the purchase of an adult season ticket package.
