LAST GAME: Mobile, Ala. - The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks, fell victim to a strong opposing bullpen for the second night in a row, dropping a 6-3 decision to the Mobile BayBears at Hank Aaron Stadium. The loss puts Jackson (40-33) down two games to one in the series, allowing Mobile (29-42) to win back-to-back contests for just the second time in June. Full Recap: JacksonGeneralsBaseball.com

TODAY'S PITCHING MATCHUP: Right-hander Bo Takahashi will try to avoid becoming the third straight starter to allow 11 hits to Mobile. Takahashi has gone a long time between outings, last pitching the first three innings of a rain-suspended game against Mississippi on June 8. He did enter last Tuesday's All-Star Game in relief, retiring the one man he faced on a first-pitch flyout. His opponent is Jeremy Beasley, who didn't allow a run over five innings to Jackson back on May 15. (Coincidentally, Takahashi started that contest and won, throwing 7 shutout frames.) Beasley hasn't allowed more than 2 earned runs in any of his past six starts.

LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN: Former Generals infielder Domingo Leyba made his Major League debut last night for Arizona, collecting a single to left field in a pinch-hit at-bat. Leyba becomes the seventh former General to debut this season in the big leagues, joining Jon Duplantier (ARI), Taylor Clarke (ARI), Wei-Chieh Huang (TEX), Kevin Cron (ARI), Josh Taylor (BOS), and Colin Poche (TBR).
