LAST GAME: Jackson, Tenn. - The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks, downed the Biloxi Shuckers for the fourth straight night on Saturday, winning 6-3 at The Ballpark at Jackson. The triumph helped Jackson (39-30) tie their win total from last year's First Half, with Biloxi (40-29) dropping their fourth contest in a row for just the second time in 2019. TODAY'S PITCHING MATCHUP: Right-hander Joel Payamps will lead the charge as Jackson tries to sweep Biloxi. Payamps earned his first win of the year in his most recent start against Mississippi, tossing five innings while allowing one run in a tight 2-1 Jackson victory on Tuesday. He's averaging 18.5 pitches per inning over his last two outings, a higher-than-desirable number for a strike-zone friendly pitcher. Payamps will face Biloxi's Bowden Francis, who shut out Pensacola over six innings in his last start with just one hit allowed. Francis, a native of Tallahassee, Florida, is the older brother to Harrison Francis, a fourth-round draft pick of the Diamondbacks in 2017 who is currently rostered for the short-season Hillsboro Hops, Arizona's affiliate in the rookie-level Northwest League.

ALL-STAR-GAME-BOUND: The Southern League's All-Star Game will happen in Biloxi on June 18, and the Generals are sending a handful of deserving players (stats listed through May 31).
