Greensboro Generals News Release
GREENSBORO GENERALS
The Generals fell to the Charlotte Checkers 5-2 on Tuesday in the final game of a five game road trip. Greensboro was down 2-0 after one period, but Mark Turner popped home a rebound of his own shot early in the second period to cut the deficit in half. The momentum quickly went back to Charlotte, however, as they reeled off three unanswered goals for a 5-1 advantage. The Generals' Matt Chandler finished off the scoring with a goal early in the third period.
RICHMOND RENEGADES
The Renegades pummeled the Reading Royals 8-4 at home last Saturday night. The two teams exploded for three goals a piece in the first period, including two goals from Richmond's Brad Church. The Renegades took the lead for good in the second period, with Church completing a hat trick and Ian Turner padding the lead to 5-3. The Royals cut the margin to 5-4 before the second intermission, but Richmond coasted to victory with three third period goals.
