Flint Generals News Release
MUSKEGON, MI - The Flint Generals and the Muskegon Fury have seen a lot of one another the last five days and this will continue until tomorrow afternoon.
The two teams play in the first of a home and home series tonight at LC Walker Arena at 7:30 pm and then again tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon at Perani Arena and Event Center.
The Generals have won two of the three meetings thus far and have collected points in all three games. In the four games at LC Walker Arena the Generals have picked up at least one point in all of them.
Flint is coming off an emotion 4-3 win over the Port Huron Icehawks last night in front of a sellout crowd at Perani Arena. The win by the Generals snapped a three-game losing streak against the Icehawks and it was just the second win by Kevin Kerr's bunch when trailing after 40 minutes this season.
Jaroslav Cesky scored what prove to be the game winning goal for the Generals, while Michael Beausoleil, Greg Bullock and Jason Cirone added the others. It was the home debut of Darren McCarty and he didn't disappoint the big crowd by playing very well and notched an assist in the second period.
Prior to the game last night, the Generals honored Jason Cirone with a plaque for playing in his 1000th career game as a professional.
Fans can tune into the game on Unforgettable 1470 WFNT beginning with the Generals Pre-Game Report Protected by Teachout Security at 7:10 pm. The voice of the Generals Denis J. Puska has all of the heart stopping action at 7:30 pm. The broadcast is also available on line at www.flintgenerals.com and video coverage is provided by the B2 Networks and a high speed internet connection is required in order to view the game. There will just be the home audio feed for B2 coverage on Saturday night.
Hockey's back at Perani Arena and Event Center tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon when the Generals host the Muskegon Fury at 4 pm. Tickets for all Flint Generals home games are available at The Ticketmaster Box Office or on line at www.flintgenerals.com.
