Generals Announce Training Camp Schedule

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the United Hockey League announce the beginning of the 2006 training camp. The first official practice will be Monday, October 2 at 9:30am at Perani Arena.

From Monday through Thursday, October 5, the team will participate in two practices per day. The first session will be from 9:30-11:00am and an afternoon session from 3:00-5:00pm. The team will have a morning skate from 10:00-11:00am and will play Port Huron in an exhibition game that night at Perani Arena. From Monday, October 9 - Thursday, October 12 the team will practice at 10:00am. All practices will be at Perani Arena and will be open to the public.

Training Camp Practice Schedule:

Mon. October 2: 9:30-10:30am, 3:00-5:00pm October 9: 10:00-12:00pm

Tues. October 3: 9:30-10:30am, 3:00-5:00pm October 10: 10:00-12:00pm

Wed. October 4: 9:30-10:30am, 3:00-5:00pm October 11: 10:00-12:00pm

Thurs. October 5: 9:30-10:30am, 3:00-5:00pm October 12: 10:00-12:00pm

Fri. October 6: 10:00-11:00am, Port Huron 7:30pm October 13: Port Huron 7:30pm

Sat. October7: 10:00-11:00am, @ Port Huron October 14: @ Port Huron

Sun. October 8: No practice scheduled

The players will be in town and participating in the Generals 4th Annual Training Camp Open golf tournament on Sunday, October 1 at Copper Ridge Golf Course. The golf outing is open to everyone for only $65 a person. The fee includes greens fees with a cart, lunch and beverages on the course and a catered dinner by bd's Mongolian Barbeque after the tournament. The Generals open their 2006-07 season against the Port Huron Flags on Friday, October 13, at Perani Arena. Season tickets are on sale now through TicketMaster or by calling the Perani Arena & Event Center at (810) 744-0580. All kids age 12 and under receive free season tickets with the purchase of an adult season ticket package.
