
Hear the Hogs on WNTA once again this season

Rockford, Ill.- Rockford IceHogs President and General Manager Ryan Washatka, along with Maverick Media President J Chapman announced on Wednesday that the United Hockey League club has partnered with WNTA-AM 1330 for all 76 regular season and all postseason broadcasts during the 2006-07 season. The agreement marks the third straight season in which all IceHogs games will be broadcast on 1330 AM.
All 76 games are slated to be broadcast live on the IceHogs flagship radio station once again. IceHogs Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations Mike Peck will handle the play-by-play duties for all 76 games and Tim Mattila, the Head Coach of the 10-time defending State Champion Rockford Icemen will provide color commentating during select games. Each game will feature a pre-game and post-game show that will breakdown highlights and stats. Each home broadcast will conclude with a Post Game Call-In Show once again.
"Maverick Media has been an outstanding partner with the IceHogs during the past three seasons," said Washatka. "We are excited and are looking forward to another great season of IceHogs hockey on 1330-WNTA."
Fans that are outside of the IceHogs listening area can log on to the IceHogs official team Web site, icehogs.com, and catch every game live, via the internet. The games will be streamed live through WNTA and are free of charge to listen to. For a third straight season, IceHogs fans will have an opportunity to watch games live on the web. The B2 Networks will provide video coverage of the Hogs for just $6 through the IceHogs Web site. Currently, Insight Cable Channel 57 airs WNTA broadcasts and fans with Insight Cable can catch IceHogs play-by-play on Channel 57 as well. Broadcast dates are subject to change.
WXRX, 104.9FM's Jim Stone and Double T will once again host the IceHogs weekly talk show, Bud Light HogTalk at Shooter's North this season. The show can be seen live each Monday during the season from 7-8 p.m. Stone and Double T, who host the afternoon show from 2-6 p.m. on "The X", will also talk Hogs hockey live on the radio each Tuesday at 2:45 p.m. Stone will provide in-game interviews at ice level for the second straight season during all 38 home games.
The IceHogs also announced that they have teamed up with 1380 AM, WTJK "The Jock" once again in forming the IceHogs broadcasting network. The Jock will broadcast 20 IceHogs regular season games live throughout the course of the '06-07 campaign. The Jock will reach IceHogs fans in the state line area, north of Rockford.
Also, every Friday from 4:30-5 p.m., fans can tune into "Inside the Pig Pen" live on 1380 AM. The show will be hosted by Kyle Jacob and will feature interviews with the IceHogs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Steve Martinson, Peck and several players during the 30-minute show.
Tickets Sale Now: Individual game tickets are now on sale! Fans can call (815) 968-5222 or can stop down to the Rockford MetroCentre Box Office starting at 10 a.m. to purchase tickets for the upcoming 2006-07 season. Opening Night is Friday, Oct. 13 at 7:30 p.m. against the Fort Wayne Komets.
