Bloomington PrairieThunder News Release
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Bloomington PrairieThunder added Clay Roffer to its team personnel roster; Roffer will take over the Equipment Manager position for the upcoming 2006-07 season.
Roffer worked with current PrairieThunder Head Coach Derek Booth when he fulfilled Equipment Manager duties with the Fayatteville FireAntz last season, prior to signing on with the PrairieThunder. He got his start in the business when he worked as the Assistant Equipment Manager for the Southern Professional Hockey League's Orlando Seals in Orlando, Fla. for two years.
A graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in Business, Roffer is a native of Miami, Fla. Booth is pleased to add him to the PrairieThunder staff.
"Working with Clay last year in Fayetteville was great," said Booth. "He was a guy who was looking to make the move up to the next level, and I'm pleased he has the opportunity to do so with the PrairieThunder. He's a guy who wears a lot of different hats within our organization, and one I'm happy to have on our staff."
