Generals Announce Toolzy's Troops Partnership with Boys and Girls Club of Durham Region

Oshawa, ON - The Oshawa Generals announced today that beginning this season, rookie forward Ty Tullio will be heading up a charity, Toolzy's Troops, in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Durham Region.

The program will see Tullio attend monthly visits to the Boys and Girls Club breakfast program, hosted Saturday's of every month to meet and serve breakfast to those in attendance. Fundraising for the program will cover the cost of these weekly breakfasts put on by the club.

In addition to the breakfast, Tullio will host 20 guests from the Boys and Girls of Durham Region to each Generals home game this season, providing families with the opportunity to attend Gens games throughout the year. Each guest will receive a commemorative t-shirt to go along with their tickets and an opportunity to have a meet and greet with Tullio following the game.

"I'm really excited to give back in the Oshawa community" said Tullio when discussing the partnership. "This is my new home and donating my time and providing a unique experience to some kids who might not have the chance to attend a game otherwise is something I look forward to doing throughout the season."

"It's great to see to see our players want to give back to the community" said Vice President and General Manager, Roger Hunt on the program. "The Boys and Girls Club does amazing things in the Durham Region and we are happy to have our players give back through them."

On Saturday, the program will kick off at the first breakfast of the year at the Northview Community Centre with Tullio and teammates attending to serve breakfast, play some road hockey and deliver the first sets of tickets to the recipients for the upcoming season.
