Gems Sign Forward Lucas Labelle

DAYTON, OH - The Dayton Gems, proud members of the International Hockey League, announced the signing of forward Lucas LaBelle to a contract and will be in the line-up for tonight's game versus the Bloomington Prairie Thunder at US Cellular Coliseum at 8 pm eastern, 7 pm central time.

LaBelle played in 32 games for the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League where he notched seven goals and nine assists for 16 points for 55 penalty minutes.

The Toronto, Ontario native spent the past three seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Lewiston Maniacs, Drummondville Voltigeurs and the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. LaBelle has also played in the Ontariio Provincial Junior Hockey League and the Ontario Hockey League.

The Dayton Gems look for their fourth win in their last five games when they play in Bloomington tonight (Friday) at 8 pm eastern, 7 pm central. It's the first of a short two game road trip this weekend that continues tomorrow (Saturday) night in Fort Wayne against the Komets at 7:30 pm.
