Gems Announce Training Camp Schedule

Dayton, OH-Dayton Gems Head Coach and General Manager Brian Gratz announced today that training camp for the 2010-11 season will begin on Monday, October 4th.

All practices will be held at Hara Arena and will be open to the public for both weeks. The first week of camp will begin on Monday, October 4th and end on Sunday, October 10th. The second week will begin on Monday, October 11th and end on Thursday, October 14th because the beginning of the CHL season starts on Friday, October 15th even though the Gems don't open their season until Saturday, October 16th at 7:30 p.m. against the Evansville Icemen at Hara Arena.

As previously announced, the Gems will also play two exhibition games during that first week of training camp. On Thursday, October 7th the Gems will travel to Fort Wayne and take on the Komets at 7:30 pm in the War Memorial Coliseum. Then on Saturday, October 9th the Gems will host the Komets at Hara Arena at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the home exhibition game are free for all full season ticket holders and will only be $5.00 for general admission. All parking is free for everyone that night as well. Listed Below is the full schedule of practices for both weeks.

Thursday, (October 7) 10:00-11:00am

Friday, (October 8) 10:00-12:00

Saturday, (October 9) 10:00-11:00 am (Exhibition game vs. Fort Wayne at 7:30 pm)

Sunday, (October 10) NO ON-ICE PRACTICE

WEEK 2

Monday, (October 11) 10:00-12:00

Tuesday, (October 12) 10:00-12:00

Wednesday, (October 13) 10:00-12:00

Thursday, (October 14) 10:00-12:00 END OF TRAINING CAMP

Friday, (October 15) 10:00-12:00 (THIS PRACTICE IS THE ONLY ONE NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC)

Saturday, (October 16) Home Opener vs. Evansville 7:30 pm

Sunday, (October 17) Home Game vs. Rapid City 5:00 pm
