LOVES PARK, IL - The Flyers (25-42) gave up three runs in the bottom of the ninth and fell to the Rockford Riverhawks (29-36) 5-4 at Road Ranger Stadium Tuesday night.

Rich Austin led off the ninth by getting hit by a Cody Evans fastball and then Jono Brooks singled up the middle. A John Wagle single brought both runners in and two batters later Patrick O'Sullivan laced a grounder through the right side to plate Wagle.

Joey Gomes started Schuamburg's scoring with his third home run of the series, blasting a solo shot over the left field wall in the top of the second.

With a 3-0 lead, Rockford clawed back to tie the game up at three with one in the fifth on a Wagle single and in the sixth on Evan McArthur's sacrifice fly and a France Valdez liner to left.

The Flyers took the lead back in the seventh with a Travis Brown double to left center. Kit Pellow tacked on another run with a base hit to left.
