
Gazdag Scores 40th Career Goal; Union Unbeaten in Seven Consecutive League Matches

CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union faced off against Atlanta United FC on Wednesday night at Subaru Park, winning 3-2. With the win, the Union move into third place in the Eastern Conference with 54 points. The Union found the back of the net three times in the first half. Midfielder Daniel Gazdag opened the scoring in the 39th minute with a bicycle kick. Forward Mikael Uhre doubled the Union's lead with a right-footed finish after receiving a pass from forward Julian Carranza. Carranza would add to the Union's lead shortly after, finishing a pass from Gazdag in the box with his right foot in the third minute of stoppage time. In the second half, Atlanta converted on a penalty kick in the 56th minute, cutting the Union's lead to two. In the 77th minute, Atlanta would score again, cutting the deficit to one. With the win, the Union are unbeaten in seven consecutive matches in the MLS.
The Union return to Subaru Park to face Nashville SC on Saturday, October 7 (7:30 p.m. / Apple TV).

Daniel Gazdag scored his 40th career goal with the Union, he is also tied for the fifth-most career assists in club history. Gazdag leads the team with goals (14) and assists (11) this season.
With his goal tonight, midfielder Dániel Gazdag became the second player in MLS to score at least 40 goals since the start of the 2021 season.
Forward Julián Carranza registered his 15th assist with the Union.
Captain Alejandro Bedoya registered his 33rd career assist, his seventh this season.
Forward Mikael Uhre scored his 23rd career goal with the Union and is now tied for seventh most goals in club history.
The Union are unbeaten in 15 out of 16 home games this season, scoring 35 goals and allowing 19.
