VS BRANDON: This is third of six meetings between the Wheat Kings and the Tigers. The Wheat Kings have taken the first two meetings of the series with the most recent being on Saturday at Co-op Place in Medicine Hat. Over the past five seasons Brandon holds the edge in the series 7-2-1-0. The Wheat Kings currently sit 4th in the East Division and 7th in the Eastern Conference.

VS EAST DIVISION: The Tigers have posted a 1-7-2-1 record so far this season versus East Division opponents.

LAST GAME: The Tigers held their annual Medicine Hat News Teddy Bear Toss game versus the Brandon Wheat Kings. Bogdans Hodass called his own number and scored the goal that sent the Teddy Bears flying. Ashton Ferster and Steven Arp picked up the assists on the play. In the end the Wheat Kings came away with a 4-1 win. Nolan Ritchie had a pair of markers for the Wheat Kings.

MILESTONES: Lukas Svejkovsky recently played his 150th career WHL game. The Pittsburgh Penguins draft pick has 110 points (49G, 61A) and is only 1 goals shy of his 50th career goal. Corson Hopwo is closing in on his 100th career WHL point. The forward from Duncan, BC needs only 6 points to cross that threshold. Tigers Defenceman Dru Krebs played in his 100th career WHL game on Saturday vs Brandon.

PLAYER TO WATCH: Daniel Baker was a 2nd round pick of the Medicine Hat Tigers in the 2016 WHL Prospect Draft. Over the course of 5 seasons, the 6'4 blueliner has appeared in 186 games for the Orange and Black, scoring 19 career goal and chipping in with 56 assists. The Edmonton, Alberta native has also registered 143 penalty minutes.
