Fort Worth Brahmas News Release
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (April 23)- There is nothing quite like playoff hockey, especially when it comes to a Game 7. The Texas Brahmas will be facing the do-or-die game against the Colorado Eagles Wednesday on the road in the Northern Conference Finals.
Monday night, the Brahmas were able to overcome a 3-2 series lead by Colorado with a 5-4 victory. Anders Strome was able to capture his first hat trick in the postseason.
Colorado will be without forward and Captain Greg Pankewicz and defenseman Jay Birnie as they have been suspended by the league for their actions in Game 6. Each player recieved three games.
Texas has been in the position of elimination in the 2008 playoffs before and were able to come out victorious over Mississippi and are hoping to do the same against the CHL reigning champions. This will be the first time in Brahmas franchise history to play a Game 7.
Should the Brahmas win, tickets for the Finals will go on sale Thursday morning at the Brahmas Box Office in the NYTEX Sports Centre at 9 AM. For ticket information please call (817) 336-4423.
