The Solar Bears are riding a two game winning streak, having defeated the Florida Everblades 8-2 last Friday in Estero, FL, and collecting a 12-round shootout win in Orlando's first-ever ECHL game last Saturday night. After competing against the Everblades in each of their first four regular season games, the Solar Bears will face a new opponent for the first time. The South Carolina Stingrays were in action last night, defeating the Florida Everblades 5-4 in a shootout. The game tonight between Orlando and South Carolina is the only ECHL game on the schedule.
Solar Bears Notes:
After four straight games against the Florida Everblades, the Solar Bears will see a new ECHL opponent for the first time in their history... RW Kevin Baker, D Ryan Blair, and RW Keaton Turkiewicz are expected to make their Solar Bears debuts tonight... Tonight's game marks the first of eight meetings between Orlando and South Carolina.
Stingrays Notes:
South Carolina is in the midst of a three game road trip, playing the Everblades last night, the Solar Bears tonight, and returning to play the Everblades tomorrow... The Stingrays surrendered three of their four goals allowed last night while shorthanded... Stingrays G Shawn Hunwick stopped 39 of 43 shots last night against Florida.
