Season Series
The new-look Power are back in action this Thursday vs. the Brampton A's. In 5meetings this season so far the team sits at 2-3 vs. their rivals, after suffering two close losses to start off the New Year. Power Guard, Jabs Newby (Pictured, right), had 27 points in the last meeting.
High Energy Hoops
Since the hot start to the season the team has struggled, losing 7 of their last 9 games by 6 points or less, including an East Coast trip this past weekend that saw them take on two Atlantic division foes. The team averaged 98.5 points per game over the trip, and looks to get back in the win column at home.
Finishing STRONG
Guard, Omar Strong looks to continue his stellar play after setting the franchise mark for points in a single game vs. the Storm over the weekend. His 11 three pointers also set a new league record for three pointers made in a single game. Strong dazzled the crowd, lighting up the Storm for 44 points, in the 109-103 loss.
Splashing onto the scene
After splashing onto the scene during the team's East Coast trip, new players, Chad Posthumus and Warren Ward seek to continue their strong play as well. Posthumus is averaging 27ppg and 17.5rpg while Ward is averaging 15.5ppg and 8.5rpg after just two games. Having not been on the team in the previous meetings vs. the A's this season, they look to be big difference makers.
Quick Scouting Report
The Power will look to contain the A's leading scorer Cavell Johnson, who's coming off of a 16 point outing in Tuesday's night's win vs. Windsor. The Power will also need to pay attention to the A's Tyshwan Edmondson, who came off the bench to score 20 points vs. the Express.
