October 22, 2019 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Kelowna Rockets News Release
Kelowna Rockets will face the Prince George Cougars on the road tomorrow night at the CN Centre in Prince George, BC.
The Rockets were last in action on Saturday night where they fell 2-1 to the Kamloops Blazers. Kyle Topping, who scored the lone goal for the Rockets, says that he felt the team played well and they're prepared to go into Prince George.
"It's always a challenge going into Kamloops," said Topping. "I thought we got better as the game went on, we're just missing a little bit to get those wins. To get there, I think we just have to stick to our structure and play our game plan. I think our coaches are doing a good job of telling us what to do to have success against teams."
The Cougars will host the Swift Current Broncos tonight before the Rockets roll in tomorrow.
Kelowna currently sits in third place in the B.C. Division with 13 points and a record of 6-4-1-0. They trail the division-leading Kamloops Blazers by three points and the Vancouver Giants by a single point for second. The Victoria Royals are in fourth with nine points, Prince George sits in fifth place with a record of 3-6-0-1 and seven points.
