Tonight the Ice Flyers take on the Columbus Cottonmouths after a come from behind victory last night in Louisiana, 3-2. This is the 6th time the Snakes and Ice Flyers have met this season. The teams split the first four games and the Ice Flyers rode a shutout by Steve Christie to a 3-0 win last Friday.

Team Scope:
PENSACOLA - The Ice Flyers extended their winning streak to 3 games last night against the IceGators, winning 3-2 with a goal by Matthew Robertson with 5 minutes remaining. The Ice Flyers now have a record of 8-7-2 and have moved up to 5th place in the standings. Steve Christie improved his record to 5-1-0, and now has a 1.65 GAA, and a 0.940 save percentage. Adam Ward has a 3-6-1, a 3.23 GAA, and a .875 save percentage. Dan Buccella leads the Ice Flyers in points with 16. With his second game-winning goal against Louisiana in as many games, Robertson now leads the team in goals with 8. Buccella and Jordan Chong still lead the team in assists with 9.
After tonight's game, the Ice Flyers will be resting up for their upcoming grueling schedule between December 27th and 31st when they'll play 4 games in 5 nights, all at The Hangar in Pensacola.
COLUMBUS - After being shutout by the Ice Flyers last Friday, the Cottonmouths ended last weekend on an up note with a 3-2 win at the Mississippi Surge on Saturday. Last night the Cottonmouths took on the Fayetteville FireAntz in Columbus and came up short with a 4-3 loss.
Columbus still continues to split time in net with both Ian Vigier and Andrew Loewen. Vigier now has a record of 6-2-2, a 2.68 GAA, and a 0.905 SV%. Loewen has a record of 5-5-1 record, a 2.77 GAA, and a 0.902 SV%. The Cottonmouths are led in the scoring race by Sam Bowles with 17 points. Jordan Braid leads the team with 9 goals and Bret Tyler leads the team with 12 assists.
This game will also conclude Columbus' weekend and then will play a home-and-home with Fayetteville on the 26th and 27th; in Fayetteville first, then in Columbus the next night.
