Tonight the Ice Flyers play host to the Columbus Cottonmouths after a 5-4 shootout victory last night in Louisiana. This is the 5 th time the teams have played each other this season and the first in the Hangar. The teams have split the games so far with Pensacola winning the 1 st and 3 rd meetings 4-3 on October 21 st and 3-2 November 19 th . Columbus won meeting number 2 and 4, 3-2 on October 28 th and 2-0 December 2nd.

Team Scope:
PENSACOLA - The Ice Flyers played last night against the Louisiana IceGators and came out on top with 5-4 win in a shootout. Steve Christie improved his record to 3-1, and now has a 1.97 goals against average, and a 0.925 save percentage. Adam Ward has a 3-6-1, a 3.23 GAA, and a .875 save percentage. Jordan Chong leads the Ice Flyers in points with 15 and Dan Buccella is hot on his heels with 14. Matthew Robertson leads the team in goals with 7, which includes the shootout winner in last night's victory. Chong is now is sole possession of the team lead in assists 9.
Last week's new arrivals, Ryan Salvis and Jason Dolgy, have both added 2 assists in 3 games. This brings Salvis' season totals to 8 points (3 G, 5 A). Chong comes in to tonight's matchup with 7 points in 5 games, while Buccella and Mike Carter tallying 4 points in 3 games.
COLUMBUS - Last weekend the Snakes traveled to face the Huntsville Havoc on Friday before hosting the Mississippi Surge on Saturday. They managed to beat the Havoc 5-2 last Friday in Huntsville and beat Surge at home 5-2 the next night.
Columbus continues to split time in nets between Ian Vigier and Andrew Loewen. Loewen has a record of 5-3-1 through 9 games played along with a 2.61 GAA and a 0.909 SV%. Vigier has played in 9 games as well going 5-2-2 with a 2.76 GAA and a 0.901 SV%. In the scoring department, the Cottonmouths are led by Jordan Braid, Sam Bowles and Bret Tyler, all with 14 points. Jordan Braid leads the team with 9 goals and Bret Tyler leads the team with 12 assists.
This is the first game on the weekend for the Snakes before they head west to face the Mississippi Surge on Saturday.
