August 12, 2004 - New York-Penn League (NYPL)
Vermont Lake Monsters News Release
BURLINGTON, VT --- The New York-Penn League game between the Lowell Spinners and Vermont Expos on Thursday night at Centennial Field was postponed due to rain.
This is the third rainout of the season at Centennial Field for Vermont and the fourth overall. But unlike the previous three rainouts, which were the last meetings of the season for the Expos and their opponent, Thursday night's postponement will be made up.
The Spinners return to Centennial Field September 4-6 for a scheduled three-game series to end the 2004 season. Thursday's rainout will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, September 4th and the final series of the season is now scheduled for four games.
Thursday's "Hot Dog Heaven" Promotion has also been rescheduled for Thursday, August 26th when the Expos host Tri-City with all hot dogs 25-cents. Vermont begins a two-game series with the Oneonta Tigers on Friday with Zooperstars on hand to entertain the fans at Centennial Field.
