After a narrow 1-0 victory against FC Dallas in the Western Conference Semifinals, Sounders FC (11-5-6, 39 points) continues its 2020 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs journey at home against Minnesota United FC (9-5-7, 34 points) at Lumen Field (6:30 p.m. PT / FS1, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
Earlier this season, MLS announced it will use a points-per-game (PPG) system to determine conference standings. Seattle finished in second place in the Western Conference with 1.77 PPG. Minnesota United locked up the fourth seed with 1.62 PPG.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this is the first time these two teams will meet this year, with Sounders FC holding a 5-0-1 advantage all-time during the regular season. This is the first playoff meeting between the two sides.
