After finishing second in Group B, Sounders FC (2-1-2, 8 points) begins the Knockout Stage of the MLS is Back Tournament on Monday, July 27 vs. Los Angeles FC (8:00 p.m. PT / FS1, UniMás, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). This marks the first meeting between the two sides since Seattle defeated LAFC in the 2019 Western Conference Championship last October.

Seattle finished second in Group B with four points (1-1-1) and is now matched up with LAFC, who finished second in Group F with 5 points (1-0-2) after Thursday's 2-2 draw with Portland. The winner of Monday's contest will be matched up in the Quarterfinals with Orlando City SC, who defeated the Montreal Impact on Saturday evening. Unlike the Group Stage, results in the Knockout Stage do not count for the 2020 MLS regular season standings.
