Climbing the Conference SAFC just finished a grueling stretch of the season, playing seven matches in 21 days from August 28 to September 18. In those seven matches, SAFC compiled a 5-1-1 record, outscoring their opponents 11-7 while climbing to a tie for second place in the Mountain Division. As of 9/23, SAFC currently has the third highest point total in the Western Conference, and the club has scored the sixth highest amount of goals in the conference. Midfielder Cam Lindley is currently tied for fourth in the league in chances created (52) while goalkeeper Matt Cardone is third in the league in saves (76).

Reinforcements In late August, SAFC added defenders Mitch Taintor and Kortne Ford on loan to help strengthen the defense for the stretch run of the season. Since those two players were added, SAFC is 5-1-1 with both players appearing in all five victories. Since their debuts in 2021, SAFC has conceded just seven goals in seven games. Together, the two have recorded 37 clearances, 27 interceptions, 19 tackles and seven blocks in the seven games, and Ford has added two goals to contribute offensively as well.

All-time Series: SAFC is 2-2-0 all-time against New Mexico, but 2-0-0 at Toyota Field. In the two shutout wins against New Mexico at home, SAFC has outscored them 8-0.
