Danville Dashers News Release


The Dashers (1-0-0-1, 5 pts, .833 PCT) look to go for three in a row to start the season, as they welcome in for the first time to the David S. Palmer Arena the Mentor Ice Breakers (0-1-0-0; 0 pts, .000 PCT) tonight at 7:05 PM c.t.

Danville is coming off a sweep of the Elmira Enforcers last weekend defeating them 3-2 in OT on Friday and 7-1 on Saturday. Ryan Marker led the way with 6 points (4G and 2A) during the weekend while Matt Kaludis and Aaron Taylor both picked up their first victories this season.

Tonights game will be the first of 11 meeting between the two teams, after this weekend these two will not match up again until mid December in Mentor at the Mentor Civic Ice Arena.

The Ice Breakers come into this weekends contest having dropped their one and only game last weekend to the Watertown Wolves by a final score of 4-1. Matthew Camilleri got the start in net for Mentor, he was 28 of 32 allowing 4 GA for an .875 SV%. James Kakos netted the first goal in franchise history at the 19:48 mark of the 1st period assisted by Alexander Morrow and Adamo Asselin.
