The set-up

The Belleville Senators will complete its three-in-four on Family Day as they host the Utica Comets for the first time at the Yardmen Arena.

The Sens (21-29-1-3) were shutout Saturday night by Hershey leaving them 19 points behind Syracuse for a playoff spot with 23 games to play.

Utica (28-14-6-4) has collected points in 15 straight games as they've gone 12-0-2-1 to rocket into second place in the North Division.

The Comets have gone 16-5-3-1 on the road this season while Belleville is 12-13-0-1 at the Yardmen.

Roster notes

No roster changes for the Senators heading into tonight as they fielded the exact same line-up Saturday as they did Friday night.

Marcus Hogberg started Saturday against Hershey so the expectation is that Danny Taylor gets the nod tonight against the Comets.

Max McCormick remains with Ottawa while Kyle Flanagan, Francis Perron, Willie Corrin, and Christian Jaros have yet to return for the Senators.

Previous history

Belleville is winless so far this season against Utica having lost both contests. The Comets edged out a 4-3 decision Feb. 10.

Who to watch

Jim O'Brien has four points in his last four games for Belleville and continues to lead the team in points with 27 (alongside with Max McCormick). O'Brien has 13 goals this season, the second most on the team behind Gabriel Gagne (16).

Michael Chaput has notched four points (one goal) in the two games against Belleville and is the Comets active leading point scorer with 25 in 33 games (12 goals).
