
Gamblers Start Thanksgiving Weekend Series with Loss

Green Bay Gamblers News Release
The Green Bay Gamblers (5-9-0-1) fell to the Dubuque Fighting Saints (8-4-2-2) 7-4 to start their weekend Thanksgiving series of games. The first period was all Dubuque as they took a 2-0 lead. After the Fighting Saints scored two more in the second period, the Gamblers would show life, scoring two of their own to make it a 4-2 game heading into the third. Green Bay would cut the game to a one-score contest after a pair of goals, making it 5-4 just about halfway through the third. However, after a pair of Dubuque goals, including one empty net, the game would end 7-4 Fighting Saints.
Alex Servagno (3) led the way offensively for the Gamblers, scoring 2 back-to-back goals in the contest. Matt Deboer (4) and John Mittelstadt (6) would also score, with each of them having 1 goal. Servagno (5) and Mittelstadt (2) also tallied 1 assist each along with Kent Anderson (4), Sawyer Scholl (5), Nicholas Vantassell (3), and Damien Carfagna ( 14). Defensively, Aaron Randazzo played for 59:28, saving 28 of 24 shots, allowing 7 goals.
Green Bay will play Team USA (3-8-1) at the Resch Center Friday, November 26.
Dubuque will play the Des Moines Buccaneers (6-7-2) in Des Moines Friday, November 26, at Buccaneer Arena.
