Gallagher Is Giants Player Of The Month

The Vancouver Giants today announced that right wing Brendan Gallagher has been named the Giants player of the month for the month of November 2009. Gallagher and the Giants played 12 games in November, while the Giants went 8-4-0-0 during those games, Gallagher registered 18 points. The 5'8'' 165 pound resident of Delta BC had 11 goals, 7 assists and 18 points while going plus 3. He also scored 4 power play goals and 2 game winning goals in the month of November.

The 17 year old Gallagher (May 6/92) saved his best for last in the month of November. The Giants final two games for the month were played on the 27th and 28th in Prince George. It was a 6 point weekend for Gallagher, who registered a natural hat trick, and then added a fourth goal in Saturday night's 6-2 win, that came after he had two assists in Friday's 5-4 win.

Gallagher currently in his second season with the Giants leads the team in goals with 19 and power play goals with 9. He has 19 goals and 13 assists for 32 points, putting his 2nd on the Giants behind only Craig Cunningham.
