Galaxy open tryouts Saturday at Home Depot Center

CARSON, CA (Thursday, February 08, 2007) - The Los Angeles Galaxy Open Tryouts will take place this Saturday, February 10 and Sunday, February 11 at The Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University at Dominguez Hills. Both days of the Galaxy Open Tryouts will begin at 8:00 am and all games will be played on fields #5, #7 and at the Track & Field Complex.

Saturday's tryouts will feature 40 matches played by 800 participants, who registered online. All players have been divided into 80 teams and will have the opportunity to play a seven versus seven, 60-minute match. The Galaxy coaching staff will identify a select number of players to attend Sunday's session, which will feature an 11 versus 11, 75-minute match.

The Galaxy coaching staff will be on hand to evaluate players, along with designated tryout coaches. A complete list of coaches follows:
